Synonymous with Dundee is the iconic RSS Discovery ship and now you can try RSS Discovery “Smoked in History” craft beer. Brewed in collaboration with Alchemy Ales in Livingston and Brewdog in Dundee the dark, porter style beer with flavours of chocolate, amber and coffee was made using wood from the ship removed during a recent restoration. The beer’s label is designed by local designer and illustrator Whimsical Lush. Also available from the Discovery Point Museum is Discovery Whisky, a 12 year old single malt in a jute bag stamped with the mark of the 1901 British Antarctic Expedition led by Captain Scott.
