Christmas Light Night 2011

The Festive season officially arrived on Friday 25th November 2011 when around 25,000 people attended the Christmas Light Night street party with its magical torchlight procession, the official switching on of the Christmas lights and a fun packed programme of entertainment for all the family.

The whole of the city centre opened up and became an event arena with performances from around 700 local entertainers including choirs, dance groups, projections, children's entertainment and a heritage tour of the city.
