Dundee is a thriving regional and commercial centre and The Waterfront already houses a number of state-of-the-art, purpose built developments.
Tayside has a reputation as a centre for excellence for creative media, and the former railway goods yard has been transformed into a hub for the up-and-coming technology and creative industries of Dundee. With breathtaking views across the River Tay, Seabraes Digital Media Park, Vision and Seabraes Building form a bustling media district at the heart of Dundee.
Yeaman Shore dates as far back as 1600. It was in this street that Dundee's first theatre was erected, and legendary actor Edmund Kean graced the stage during his formative years. Yeaman Shore is the first waterfront development to be marketed by Dundee City Council. Once completed it will offer 27,663 sq ft of office and leisure space.
Further along the shore, Dundee One offers high specification, A-grade open plan office space. Outstanding transport links, large and flexible floor spaces and efficient green credentials are present by this modern and ergonomic building. Dundee One is building 2 x 50,000 sq ft and the first build has been pre-let to the Scottish Forensic Laboratory.
Dundee One is also involved in offering a residential element to the neighbourhood and is currently working on two major developments in the city, Clock Tower and Panmure.
Originally built with stone and cast iron in 1877, Dundee's ships used to set their clocks by the Clock Tower as they embarked upon their voyages across the world. A £4 million redevelopment has seen the A-listed building converted into 12 luxury apartments. It remains a dominant Dundee landmark.
The historic Panmure shipyard on Dundee's South Victoria Dock Road was the site of the original shipwrights that built Captain Scott's "Discovery". The historic site has now been converted into 73 historic homes, townhouses and apartments.
