Cage for the Clouds - Ten-track album recorded in Dundee

<p>Ed Muirhead is a singer, songwriter + piano-player from Dundee, UK. His ten-track
album Cage for the Clouds is released July 1st 2011 on the musician's own label
Tattie Records. Initially devised to showcase the songs, the project developed into
a fully-fledged solo album, with Ed playing everything from guitars to glockenspiels.

<p>The lyrics include personal experiences and observations, displaying influences from
artists like Paul Simon + Jackson Browne. The album was built piece by piece
during the winter of 2010-11 in Ed's front room, affectionately dubbed the "Tattie
Shed". Musically speaking, piano underpins the album, with electric and acoustic
guitars broadening the sound and percussion adding punch. Instruments were
recorded in spare time between family, work and music (he plays keyboard with
Dundee bands Trampled By A Horse and Love, Susan).
