Nature and Humankind: In Search of the Missing Link
Every Thursday for 5 weeks. It is often claimed that humans have drifted far from the natural world, behaving selfishly and exploiting the planet to the detriment of our fellow travellers. The qualities of nature are cited as signposts as to how we should live if we are to continue our sojourn on the planet. This course challenges these ideas, uncovering a narrative that suggests we are not so different from the rest of nature, with one single exception. It will piece together the evidence to identify this exception, and consider how we can address this issue for the betterment of humankind and the rest of life on the planet. So, what is the missing link between humans and nature? Tutor: Keith Skene.
