Dundee: Discovering a City

I created a film in response to a University project (I study English and Film Studies at University of Dundee, this is not a practical class so we have no training in filmmaking).  We had been studying art cinema, when I became interested in the exploration of a city’s history and also the memories and experiences of the inhabitants as recorded on film.  So I decided to create my own 'city symphony' of Dundee.  This film poses the question of Dundee’s transformation and whether the city now sits comfortably between an integration of past and present.  It contains certain events which are important to me, for example: The Tay Bridge Disaster, where my Gran's cousin William Vietch lost his life.  I'm happy with the finished result and I hope others will enjoy it.
