Dundee alternative-acoustic label Jagged Roots host their annual Christmas show at the newly opened Duke's Corner on Saturday 5th December. This is sure to be a bit different! Boogalusa begin their 20th anniversary celebrations by headlining this gig. The Cajun Footstompers are joined by Dundee's newest Gyspys on the block, The Lost Todorovs. If The Velvet Underground wrote Balkan Gypsy folk songs, they'd probably sound like this! Animal masks, transvestites and bearded ladies....they're all likley to make an appearance. Panda Su, fresh from her UK tour completes the line up with her catchy folk-pop, oh and erm, more animal masks - there's a theme developing! Once the live music is over The Todorov DJs will be playing Balkan beats and gyspy horos for some frenzied dancing. If you're coming to this one, you may as well leave all your inhibitions at home. Animal masks, fetish wear and general debauchery most welcome.
