Dundee Ambassadors back city visionA host of inspirational individuals have united to support Dundee's future ambitions and boost the profile of the city to local, national and global audiences.

The Dundee Ambassadors, who are all connected to the city in some way and share a passion and pride for Dundee, are backing the 'One City, Many Discoveries' vision. A collection of their personal 'discoveries' about Dundee sits at the heart of the new campaign.

Dundee native and award winning actor Brian Cox talks of his own memories of the city, how it constantly surprises him and why he loves the fact that Dundee is home to a Frank Gehry building.

One of the world's top scientists, Sir Philip Cohen, who has committed his career to the development of the city's life sciences sector explains why the best scientists from across the globe are coming to Dundee: 'It's down to two things. One is the quality of the work being carried out here and the other is the quality of life on offer.'
 
Dundee's adopted daughter, TV presenter Lorraine Kelly - an avid Dundee United supporter and regular at local Dundee and Tayside events - is another high profile personality keen to continue her love affair with the city and reinforce its distinctive character: 'the people, the shopping, the nights out - there's load to love about Dundee!'

Dundonian entrepreneur and founder of video games company VIS Entertainment, Chris van der Kuyl, now CEO of Bright Solid Limited, has discovered the benefits of Dundee first hand. Although one of the leading figures in Dundee's world-renowned digital entertainments industry, it was another creative industry that brought Chris home: 'Dundee's music scene was one of the reasons I came back to the city.'

Scottish composer and producer, Ged Grimes, one of the most highly respected figures in today's digital entertainment industry, believes that: 'creative industries are driving Dundee forward.' He has personally been involved in this revolution, having been writing, producing and performing music for over 20 years. One of the original members of Scots pop band 'Danny Wilson', Ged now runs Jack's Hoose Music in Dundee, servicing the growing demand for his services from the interactive entertainment world.
