A fantastic programme of outdoor music events are planned for Dundee this Summer featuring none other than Marc Ronson, Olly Murrs and Little Mix.

Carnival 56 will take up residence at Camperdown Park over the weekend of Aug 12 – 13 with a star-studded line-up headlined by Marc Ronson and Rudimental. With more acts still to be announced, Dundee’s newest music festival is set to host 100 acts over 5 stages including The Fratelli’s, Clean Bandit alongside Dundee’s own talent, Model Aeroplanes, B Charlotte, Sinderins, Fat Goth and The Law.

Named Carnival 56 because fifty six is the northern co-ordinate of Camperdown Park, its set to attract thousands of people to Dundee and is the biggest music event in Dundee since Radio 1’s Big Weekend took place at Camperdown in 2005.

A series of headline acts have also been confirmed for Dundee’s newest city-centre space, Slessor Gardens in May, June and July. UB40 Grandslam Tour with special guests Level 42 will play Slessor Gardens on Sat 20 May, the world’s biggest girl band Little Mix comes to town on Thursday 29 June and Olly Murrs brings his UK tour to Dundee on Thur 20 July.
