Loads of amazing designer are taking part from all over Scotland, this is not to be missed as the quality of the selected designer and the venue is perfect!  I'll be looking out for Hilary Grant knitwear, I’m hoping to pick up this hat when she’s in Dundee, it's such a treat to have her in Dundee as she designs the collection up in Orkney.  I love to buy things of great quality, specially to keep me cosy.  In my dream home I would love her blankets too.

Kitschnbake Christmas Night - Thursday 28th November

This is a mini market taking over the Kitschnbake cafe and with local events happening as part of the Christmas Light switch on in Newport.  I'm looking forward to checking out the new Christmas Spice candle by The Candle Bothy  All the candles are handmade, vegan natural soy wax candle.

Wasps Christmas Market @ Wasps 4th Floor - Sunday 1st December

I love this market there is such a buzz with all the stalls, it's where all the amazing Wasps studio creatives who have products to sell get together, the variety of each stall really has something for everyone and you get to buy direct from the artists/designer/maker.  If you've never been have a look out for Anne Watson Jewellery which is inspired by origami, perfect for a gift for someone special or to treat to yourself.

Makers for Maggies @ Discovery Point – Sunday 8th December

Enjoy a host of craft, design, and food stalls at this marke plus it raises money for a great cause.  I'm looking forward to seeing the final comic created by Chip Collective called ‘living with cancer: our stories’ which was funded by Kickstarter campaign.

Urban Market Dundee pt.2 @ Keillor Centre - Saturday 14th & Sunday 15th December

This is a cool market with a mix of vintage, food, eco, designer and makers held in the Keillor Centre.  During the Dundee Design Festival it highlighted what a great space it was right in the city centre. I'm really looking forward to seeing the No Comply stall, where the products are made from recycled skateboards, everything from pizza cutters to jewellery.  These stripy chopping boards are on my Santa list, I love all things stripy!

Plus some cool pop up shops open on the run up to Christmas

I believed in supporting local businesses, and I like to promote the Just A Card campaign, that aims to encourage people to support, value and buy from artists, designers, independent shops and small businesses by reinforcing the message that all purchases, however small, even 'just a card' are so vital to their prosperity and survival. Read more about it here.

If you want to see me Louise Kirby in person I will be at all of these markets listed above.  I will have my Dundee Delights collection of illustrated gift inspired by local Dundee landmarks, Dundee cakes and marmalade, everything from Tea towels, tote bags, magnets, notepads, greeting cards and prints and my new range of Festive Greetings Cards.  My designs are a perfect gift as they connect people love of Dundee.  I get lots of messages from people who receive my Dundee Delights products, saying how much they bring back fond memories of Dundee.
