The Dundee Hooley, celebrating St Andrew's day will honour St Andrew's values of kindness and welcome. We encourage everyone to come along and take part with family and friends for a fun night to remember.

Taking place on Saturday 26th November, the celebration is family friendly and ffree to attend and will kick off in City Square at 4pm with entertainment including fire performers, shadow storytelling from Ghost Caribou, bubble fun with Poppy Bubbles and music live on stage from the Doolichters and Skyrie. While there you can enjoy some stovies or a wee dram from our street traders.

The highlight of the evening will be the Dundee Hooley parade! The torchlight parade has been an enjoyable element of previous festive celebrations and we are delighted it is back this year. Please dress for the weather. Join us to take part in the parade as it makes its way through the city centre. Starting at 5.15pm from Dundee High School, it will travel along Panmure Street, the Murraygate and High Street arriving into City Square at approximately 5.45pm. Led by the Lord Provost and High School of Dundee Pipe Band, the procession will feature members of the public with lit torches, Thingumagig Theatre's beautiful Ghost Caribou, the spectacular Umbrella Project from Cirque Bijou, Circus Scotland fire performers, Dundee's own Urban Moves dance company, and a brass band finale. View full Parade information here. View Parade Route here.

Once the procession has arrived and the final flourish of the brass band is done, the Ceilidh will take over from 6-7pm to dance our socks off!

If you are over 16 and you'd like to take part and carry a torch, these will be available on the night, free of charge. Just make your way to the High School of Dundee from 4.30pm where you can get wristband and collect your torch, ready for the parade.
