HMS Unicorn was designed as one of the last of the successful Leda class frigates, 150 feet long and armed with 46 guns. Take a step back in time to when Britannia ruled the waves an experience what is now one of the best preserved and least altered wooden hull ships in the world.

His Majesty's Frigate Unicorn was a fast and powerful war ship launched in 1824, and is now docked at Dundee's Victoria Dock. Built in Chatham dockyard for the Royal Navy Unicorn is a unique survivor of the period which bridged the gap between traditional wooden sailing ships and the iron steam ship.

Discovery Walk is a series of plaques honouring the achievements of scientists, innovators and social reformers of the past who either came from or had a strong connection to Dundee.

Desperate Dan Statue and ‘Dawg'

Desperate Dan, hero of DC Thomson's ‘The Dandy' comics, is immortalised in Dundee, his place of ‘birth'.

The grizzly-faced strong man is cast in an 8-ft tall bronze statue in the city centre alongside his ‘Dawg'.
