Dundee is now home to one of Scotland’s newest leisure pools and The Olympia is the number one destination for people looking to make a splash when visiting Dundee.

The leisure pool includes a rapid river, wave pool and seated bubble beds, while younger children and families can look forward to splashing around in the toddler’s pool with smaller slides and fun interactive features.

Those who like their swimming more natural can participate in organised sessions in the river, seaside and in reservoirs locally with life guards on hand.

Just outside the city boundary Monikie Country Park offers twice weekly sessions over the summer and Ye Ancient Amphipeans Bathing Association (YABBA) offer training sessions, events and even a New Years dook.

Dundee is home to two skateparks - Factory and Dudhope - which will challenge all levels of riders. Both parks are open to skateboarders, BMX bikers and inline skaters. Dudhope skatepark is located in Dudhope park a 10 minute walk from the city centre.

Running in Dundee is a popular pursuit. You can run up hill, along the coast, out into the countryside or remain in an urban environment - whatever takes your fancy. The city boasts several running clubs which meet regularly and welcome visitors but you can also go on a running tour with Run for the Sights:
