6.30pm - 7.45pm  Barry Nisbet and the Rattled Rig Band

Barry Nisbet combines the music of his native Shetland with a songwriting style inspired by the drama of the islands, Scotland, history and the sea.

With a band that includes well-known Dundee musicians Robbie Ward (piano), Gavin McGinty (guitar) and Stephen Jack (bass), as well as Adrian Dacre on drums and Fiona McAndrew on vocals, expect to hear fiddle melodies combined with intricate rhythm and bass, and songwriter and jazz influences. The set will include tracks from the brand-new album 'A Bright Ray of Sunshine' which is gaining 5-star reviews.

We are working with Sound of Dundee to offer opportunities for local existing and emerging musicians to showcase their talents and get gigs in the city. During both days, there will be mini busking sites in Albert Square and City Square and a programme of gigs in venues including cafes.
