Senior Citizen Kane: A Bunch of Amateurs

This irresistible documentary won the Audience Award at this years' Sheffield Doc Fest, and tells the story of Bradford Movie Makers, a quintessentially British working-class amateur filmmaking club founded in 1932. Members of the group grow old together amid flickering memories and challenging final years, clinging to their dreams, and to each other. Fuelled by endless cups of tea, they meet in a dilapidated clubhouse - which they are behind on the rent for. But despite various setbacks, there is camaraderie between the members, and director Kim Hopkins captures a real sense of friendship and community.
