Competition Terms and Conditions

  • The promoter is Dundee City Council, operating Dundee.com.
  • The competition is open to UK residents aged 18 years or over.
  • No purchase necessary. Entry is by filling out the competition form on Dundee.com.
  • The competition opens on Wednesday 21 May and closes at 11:59pm on Sunday 8 June.
  • Three winners will be drawn at random after the closing date.
  • Each winner will receive:
    • 2x tickets to one day of Discovery Festival 2025 (Friday 25 July, Saturday 26 July, or Sunday 27 July)
    • 1x overnight stay at Malmaison Dundee for two people on the night of their prize day
  • The overnight stay is non-transferable and must be used on the corresponding night (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday).
  • Dundee City Council will notify winners directly via the email address provided in their entry form as soon as practicable after the closing date
  • If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond to the notification email within 72 hours, Dundee City Council reserves the right to re-draw a winner from the entries received and offer the prize to the alternative winner.
  • By entering this competition, you are confirming that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim the prize. Dundee City Council may ask you to produce evidence of your eligibility.
  • No cash or alternative prizes are available.
  • The prize does not include travel, travel insurance and any additional expenses such as (but not limited to), food and drink, spending money, tax or personal expenses.  Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize are the responsibility of the winners. Dundee City Council reserves the right to amend or withdraw the competition at any time without notice.
  • The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
  • Dundee City Council will not accept responsibility for entries that are lost or delayed regardless of the cause including (but not limited to) equipment failure, technical malfunction or network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind.
  • By submitting this entry, you are agreeing to these terms and conditions
  • There is a limit of one entry per person.     
  • Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted, and joint submissions are not allowed.
  • Insofar as is permitted by law, Dundee City Council, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winners or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prize except where it is caused by the negligence of the Dundee City Council, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  • If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these Terms and Conditions, Dundee City Council may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
  • Dundee City Council reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, or any other event beyond the promoter’s reasonable control.
  • Dundee City Council respects your privacy and will not disclose your personal data to any third party without your consent unless legally required or as set out in our privacy notice. Dundee City Council will process any personal data that may be collected from you for the purpose of administering this Competition and maintaining records.   • Our legal grounds for processing your personal information are contractual, as processing is necessary to provide the service of Dundee City Council Competitions and to notify prize winners by email. We will retain your data for a period of one year following the conclusion of our competition.
  • Winners consent to their photograph, name and town being published on social media/website/newspapers/radio as part of the promotion.
  • If you object to any or all of your personal data being shared, please contact contact@dundee.com. In such circumstances, Dundee City Council must still provide your information to the Advertising Standards Agency upon request.
  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by Scots law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland.
