University of Dundee Museum Collections

The University of Dundee holds unique and fascinating museum collections including scientific instruments, natural history specimens and an impressive art collection of paintings, prints and textiles.

There is always something interesting to see in the free public exhibition galleries, plus there are permanent displays on and off campus, including the D'Arcy Thompson Zoology Museum (Carnelley Building) and the Tayside Medical History Museum at Ninewells Hospital.

Mains Castle

Mains Castle is a medieval castle thought to have been built around 1562 by Sir David Graham. Restored in the early 80s, it's now a restaurant and Bar and is a popular wedding location.
