Christmas Switch-On - Sunday 15 November, 10:00-19:00

Dundee’s festive season gets underway as the city centre comes alive with a full day of Christmas entertainment. Enjoy street food, artisan markets, live music, roaming performers, kiddies rides and the popular Santa Dash fun run.

The celebrations culminate in the Christmas tree lights being switched on at 6pm, with special appearances from Santa and the mischievous Grinch to officially kick off the festive season!

The Dundee Hooley - Sunday 29 November, 15:00-19:30

St Andrew’s Day comes alive with Scottish folk music, fire and family-friendly fun at The Dundee Hooley. Enjoy live music, street performers, food, ceilidh dancing and entertainment for all ages, alongside a retelling of The Legend of the Dundee Dragon.

The celebrations culminate in a spectacular torchlight procession and parade through the city centre, bringing locals and visitors together to enjoy Scottish culture, music and community spirit the Dundee way.

Christmas in City Square - 27 November - 31 December

Dundee’s City Square becomes a festive hub with four weeks of seasonal entertainment and activities for all ages. Soak up the atmosphere with a drink at the Alpine Bar, browse market stalls for unique gifts and local crafts, and enjoy festive food and treats from local vendors.

Fairground rides, games and letters to Santa will keep the whole family entertained, making City Square the heart of Dundee’s festive celebrations.
