Dundee is the place to be for festive fun this Christmas season!
The festivities kick off on 15 November with the Christmas Switch-on, then on 29 November the city comes to life with live music, street performers, and a spectacular torchlight procession at The Dundee Hooley. From 7 to 31 December, Christmas in the Square takes centre stage, as it’s transformed into a magical winter wonderland.
Get ready to explore traditional market stalls brimming with delicious street food and drink, unique gifts, and all the fun of the fair. You can also enjoy a packed programme of festive events happening right across the city.
As part of event preparations and to ensure public safety, there will be several road closures in effect during the festive period.

This festive season, Dundee’s city centre will come alive as they transform into a bustling Christmas destination filled with holiday cheer.
After admiring the giant Christmas tree in City Square, wander past the stalls and alpine bar towards our special UNESCO City of Design Christmas Glade. Here you’ll find a stunning collection of beautifully designed trees alongside the city’s sustainable planted tree – all set against the dramatic backdrop of Scotland’s oldest medieval steeple, creating a picture-perfect festive scene.
