Where can I spend my Dundee Gift Card?

How do I check my balance?
You can:
• Visit getmybalance.com
• Call 0121 260 2849
• Scan the QR code on the back of your card

I’ve got a ‘Load This Card’ pack – what do I do?
Simple! Go to loadthiscard.com, enter the number on your gift card, and complete payment. It’s then ready to gift and spend.
Please note:
• Shops cannot load the card for you
• Cards are valid for 12 months
• The maximum load is £150 per card

When will my order be dispatched?
• Orders placed before 3pm Mon-Fri are posted the same day
• Weekend orders are processed the following week
• All cards are sent via untracked, first-class post

I work in a business that accepts the card – how do I process a transaction?
Physical cards should be put through as a debit card transaction (rather than a gift card/voucher), then swipe the card on the card machine. If the customer does not have enough money on the card, please process the payment as a part payment. 

For digital cards, simply ask the customer to tap their phones like all other Apple, Android or Google payments.

Can I spend my gift card online?
Yes – while most of the local businesses only accept the card in-person, some accept the card online too.

Can I add a personal message to my order?
Yes! Just add your card to your basket and leave your message in the ‘order notes’ box at checkout.

Why was my card declined?
Most likely, the purchase was more than your balance. Gift cards only work for amounts equal to or less than what’s loaded on the card - so for a £50 spend with a £30 card, the cashier will need to split the payment.
If a technical issue occurs, the business may need to reconnect their system. Please let us know and we’ll look into it.

I was told I couldn’t use my card at a listed business – why?
All listed businesses should accept the card, but occasionally staff may be unaware. If this happens, email us with the details so we can follow up.

My business wants to accept the Dundee Gift Card - what’s next?
