Gaming Together at the Dundee Hooley
Let's Game Together!
Abertay University is excited to bring Gaming Together to this year’s Dundee Hooley - a showcase of creativity from some fourth-year students on their Critical Design Practice module. This module explores how game design can make a positive impact across culture, society, and beyond.
The showcase features six unique games, with some in digital format and others as analogue experiences, all designed to bring people together through play.
Game On!
From 3:00pm - 5:00pm Abertay University will take over the Hooley's giant gaming screen with a top selection of the brand-new games!
- Tide Together – A two-player adventure where you light up constellations as you navigate the open sea.
- Building Bridges – An innovative two-screen multiplayer game where players design and construct bridges across the ocean together.
- In a Pinch – A four-player challenge where timing and cooperation help a crab overcome obstacles on the ocean floor.
- Rockpools – A fast-paced folk game with a SeaLife twist on tig - dash to the right rock pool before the shark turns you into kelp!
- Battlefish – A beanbag-powered spin on Battleships - aim, throw, and outsmart the opposing team to find their fish.
- Fish Mural – A collaborative art project where your handprint becomes part of a vibrant fish mural, building scales through community creativity.
So come along to try out these games that celebrate teamwork, imagination, and the joy of play - whether on-screen or in-person!
